any Caterer

As a catering company, we understand that you may not know what questions you should ask caterers when interviewing them. Therefore, we have compiled a list of
questions that any caterer should be happy to answer.
We encourage you to ask us and all caterers these questions.
 

     How much is the deposit to hold the date?

     Is the deposit refundable?

     Does it go towards my balance?

     What is your price for children?

     What is your payment schedule?

     What is included in the price?

     Are the following included?
     Plastic or real plates, silverware or plastic ware, salt & pepper, paper or linen napkins,
     linen & skirting.

     What is NOT included in my price? Ask about Styrofoam or real coffee cups,
     plastic or glass stemware for the beverages or bar.

     Are servers, bartenders or carvers additional? If so, how much?

     Will you match my bridal colors to the buffet at no charge?

     Do you charge for cutting my cake? If so, how much?

     Do you provide cake plates, silverware & napkins?

     Are you able to customize a menu for my event?

     May I change my menu if I want to?

     Do we get to keep the left over food if there is any left? Do you pack it up for us if so?

     How long have you been in business? Are you insured and licensed?
     If so, ask to have a Certificate of Insurance. Ask to see their business license.

     Where do you prepare the food? What is your most recent Health Inspection score?
     If they didn't receive 100 ask them what infractions incurred.
     (A visible health inspection report should be available at all times.)

     How do you transport your food? How do you keep the hot food hot and the cold food cold?

     Will we run out of food? How do you guarantee that?

     Do you prepare the food the day of the event?

     Do you have tasters? How much are the tasters?

     When do I give you a final count for my event? Do you charge me for my exact count?

     Are you able to provide tables, chairs, linens or chair covers for my event? If so, how much?

     Do you have pictures of prior events you have catered?

     Could you give me an exact quote for my wedding reception ?
